Sweet Affirmation
(Thank you, Vicki & Mike Sweet, for making sure I knew I was the brightest and the best, even in my own mind. As parents and human beings, you rock. Because of you, I am able to spread some of that love and affirmation around. Pass it on!)

First Day of School
Every parent feels this way, I know. I have heard it from my friends, sisters, neighbors, casual acquaintances... It's shocking to realize that you no longer have little ones. They are now in school...until they are adults!
Preschool is easier; it's a choice you make, not a requirement. And Tate will have a blast for his 2.5 hours a day in the awesome Pre-K where Quin was last year. It's a known entity, a wonderful place to be and very safe and loving. But I'm less sure about Quin, now that he is my "big boy."
No one can believe their child is actually in Kindergarten, off to school, completely out of your control for most of the day. THE WHOLE DAY, and riding the bus, and being around much bigger kids with very different agendas. I feel like I've thrown Quin to the wolves. When will this feeling end?
